The System Status Page
This page is automatically generated every minute as part of our Custom Written
"I.S.P. Administration System". Our software monitors our entire operation, and
problems which may affect your connection, or ability to reach other sites, will
be reported on this screen. Here is a breakdown of each section of the page:
Modem Status:
This button will show the current days modem usage graph.
Active:
The number of modems currently in use.
Free:
The number of modems currently NOT in use.
Capacity:
Percentage of modems currently in use.
Past Week:
This button will show the modem usage graphs for the past 7 days.
Past Month:
This button will show the modem usage graphs for the past 31 days.
Network Status
Our software pings each site once every minute, and reports the response time
from each server. Our link to our provider (Sprint) is the first site listed. If this link
is down, then you will not be able to reach any sites on the Internet. The other
listed sites are just to ensure that Sprints links are up.
Core Service Status
This section reports on the status of each of the Core Services which Durham.Net
provides you with your account. If you are having problems online, check this page,
and see that the service you are trying to use is up and running. For example, if you
are trying to read Newsgroups, and cannot connect to our news server, and this page
iindicated that the news server is not accepting connections, it at least confirms
that the problem is on our end, and not yours.
