| When I was a kid, in St. John's, before we joined Canada, I wassure that all traffic drove on the left hand side of the road. I say thisbecause, one day I was riding my bike and was about to pass a bus thatwas parked, when the door opened out onto the steet, and I hit the doorwith my bike. Can anyone tell me wether the traffic was driving on theleft or right hand side of the street in those days? I know, as you cansee by this picture, that we did in the twenties. I used to take the StreetCar to get to my Dad's barber shop, next to the York Theater. The ridewas 10 cents, and you could even get a transfer. Bill Hogan - March 4, 1997 |
