Towing a house back from the sea on November 18th, 1929. There was an earthquake out in the Atlantic Ocean on the Grand Banks, off the south coast of Newfoundland, that was followed by a tidal wave, bringing disaster to many south coast communities in the Burin Peninsula area. Twenty-seven lives were lost, and many homes destroyed and much fishing equipment, provisions, etc.
