Christmas
in Singapore
Neil Harding McAlister
Frosty the Snowman is at home in Singapore,
Where the Christmas lights
Make a festive sight
In the ritzy downtown core.
Frosty the Snowman’s in a shopper’s paradise –
If you’ve lots of dough
You might like to go
Where they don’t have snow or ice.
See presents stacked on endless racks
‘Til you have aching feet;
But your car gets towed from Orchard Road
If you park it on the street.
Frosty the Snowman ‘neath electric snowflakes bright --
Though you must admit
They’re an awkward fit
With this sultry, tropic night.
